Honda CR-V Maintenance: Use the Right Service Schedule
CR-V maintenance depends on generation, engine, transmission, market and operating conditions. A universal mileage table can mislead buyers, especially when petrol CVT and hybrid drivetrains are mixed.
Find the applicable guidance
Have the vehicle identified and obtain the correct owner and maintenance information from a suitable service provider. Check whether severe-use conditions apply. Do not select oil, fluid or a replacement interval from an unrelated market’s generic schedule.
Compare records with requirements
Review dated invoices and odometer readings for work relevant to the actual drivetrain. Missing records are a question to investigate, not proof that every component is overdue or that a fault exists. Inspect fluid leaks, tyres and other condition concerns separately.
Separate routine work from diagnosis
Unusual noise, warnings, abnormal temperature or vibration need a qualified assessment. A service package is not a repair diagnosis. Price confirmed work and retain evidence of completion so the vehicle is accepted on its condition, not a blanket reliability claim.
